Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How are fees determined?

Signature and Concierge support is tailored to the level of involvement you need. We’ll talk through your situation during your complimentary consultation and confirm your fee before you make any commitment.

  • Can I start with Essentials and add support later?

Yes. Many people begin with a personalized plan and add ongoing support when life changes or when they’d like help carrying the plan forward.

  • Is there a long-term commitment?

No. Signature and Concierge can be paid monthly or annually, always in advance.

Monthly: Cancel anytime. Your support continues through the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be billed again. Partial months aren’t refunded.

Annual: Pay for the year up front and save 15%. Your support continues through the end of your annual term, and you may choose not to renew at any time before your renewal date. Because annual plans are discounted and paid in advance, unused months aren’t refunded.

Special circumstances are always handled with care. Full terms are outlined in your client agreement.

  • Is this financial planning?

No. The Longevity Project does not provide investment, tax, or financial advice. We help you identify the life decisions, goals, and potential costs that should be reflected in your financial planning. When appropriate, we can work alongside your financial advisor or help you prepare questions for them.

  • Do I need to be retired?

No. Longevity planning can be especially valuable before retirement, while you still have time and flexibility to consider your options. It can also help people who are already retired or navigating a significant life change.

  • Can my spouse, adult child, or another trusted person participate?

Yes. With your permission, the people who matter to your planning may participate in conversations or receive appropriate updates. You remain at the center of the process.

  • Will you work with my existing professionals?

Yes. Your longevity plan may involve questions for financial advisors, attorneys, accountants, healthcare providers, housing professionals, or other specialists. With your authorization, we can help organize communication and keep everyone working from a clearer understanding of your goals.

  • Do you provide legal, medical, or financial advice?

No. The Longevity Project provides education, planning, organization, referrals, and coordination. Legal, medical, tax, investment, and other licensed professional advice must come from appropriately qualified providers.

  • What happens after our first conversation?

If it feels like a good fit, we’ll recommend the level of support that makes sense for you, whether Essentials, Signature, or Concierge, and outline what working together would look like. You’re welcome to take time to decide.

  • Do we meet in person or virtually?

Your complimentary first conversation takes place by phone or video. As we work together, meetings may take place by phone, video, or in person, depending on your needs and the support you choose. Call 616-500-0150 to talk through what works best for you.
